As part of the activities of the INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit, the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India has prepared an electronic compilation of the mandates and statutes of member SAIs of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions.

A set of 22 attributes have been identified, covering various facets of the SAI's statutes. The mandates listed attribute-wise in respect of different SAIs, will facilitate comparative analysis across SAIs.

This compilation was first prepared in May 1998 on the basis of statutes made available by SAIs.  In 2001, we updated the compilation and also imroved the access over a much wider platform of hardware and software by making the compilation available in HTML format.
 
The present compilation has been updated as per information obtained from SAIs upto August 2004.  Suggestions and comments are welcome.
