Report on the Committee’s Web Site

1. This papers reports developments on the Committee’s Internet Web Site since the last meeting in New Delhi in November 2000.
   
   
2. The look and feels of the web site was revised once again in March 2001 to retain the modern appearance whilst maintain the principle that material should be easy to access and quick to find.
   
   
3. This review has highlighted that the background material on the web site needs updating to reflect the current organisation of the Committee and its current work programme. We suggest that SAI India undertake this work.
   
   
4. Since November 2000 we have:
   

• Added Edition 12 of intoIT;
  
  
• Expanded the feedback facilities along the line discussed at the last meeting, including facilities to allow users to register interests;
  
  
• Used password protected facilities for document repository and discussion groups for the Performance Audit Seminar and the IT Audit Expert Group. Comments on the usability and the usefulness of these facilities would be welcomed;
  
  
• Added an index of Committee member’s web sites.
  
  

5. As ever, all comments and suggestions for improvements and inclusion of new material are most welcome.
   
   
6. Updated monitoring details of the number of hits on the site (with a chart) are at:

   These show that usage continues to grow.
   
   
7. At the last meeting the Committee sought a more detailed breakdown of hits on key pages, and we stated collecting this information in December.

   shows the results to date. This is too short a time span to provide a meaningful analysis, but we shall continue to collect this information.
   
   
8. As requested at the last Committee meeting, the domain names

www.intosaiedp.org and www.intosaiitaudit.org

have been registered for future use by the Committee.



9. The Committee is invited to note the improvements and additions to the web site over the past year, and to make suggestions for further improvements and the addition of new material.
