INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit

1. At its 9^th meeting in New Delhi in November 2000, the Committee agreed responsibilities for each SAI, SAI-UK, and the Committee for reviewing and updating the reference list of material on performance auditing. The UK took on responsibility for managing the update process and hosting the material provided by SAIs on the Committee’s web site.
   
   
2. Pressure of other work has meant that the update round for 2001 has only just started, but we have recently written to all SAIs with a list of the current material, asking whether the material remains extant, or should be updated or deleted, and for additional material. The reference list will be maintained and updated on the Committee’s web site and whenever possible we shall maintain hyperlinks to the source material on the Internet.
   
   
3. As discussed at the last meeting, we offer printing facilities for those SAIs who cannot access the material electronically, on request. As the material expands we will extend our monitoring on web site hits on these pages, and we shall include an article in intoIT on the revised material to draw attention to it. As reported elsewhere, feedback facilities on the web site have already been revised to allow wider comment on this material.
   
   
4. The UK contribution to the reference list has been revised and will be added to the web site shortly.
   
   
5. The Committee is invited to note progress and to encourage additions to the material.
